Meetups

At Cyberforge Academy, we’re committed to strengthening cybersecurity knowledge and fostering a vibrant community of enthusiasts and professionals. We started these meetups as a way of giving back to the cyber community, recognizing that in today’s tech-saturated world, cybersecurity awareness is as crucial as ever. We believe that everyone should be equipped with the knowledge to protect themselves from cybercrimes, which now pose a greater threat than many traditional risks, like cancer.

Each month, we gather to delve into powerful cybersecurity tools and share our experiences through engaging and informative meetups.

From our very first session on “Wireshark 101” to exploring essential tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nmap, our meetups offer hands-on practices with real-world applications, demonstrations of the latest gadgets, and fun activities that make learning interactive. Join us as we unpack the complexities of cybersecurity and provide immediate access to a supportive and knowledgeable community. Dive into the details of our recent sessions and discover how you can join our journey towards a safer digital world.

Our journey began with a comprehensive session on Wireshark, the world-renowned network protocol analyzer. This initial meetup set the tone for the depth and practicality we strive to bring to each session.

Following the overwhelming response to our online Wireshark session, we were inspired to take our meetups to the next level by hosting an offline event. This gathering not only covered the theoretical aspects of cybersecurity tools but also included practical, hands-on sessions where participants could interact directly with the technology.

In honor of Women’s Day, we conducted a special survey targeting women from various fields across India to understand their experiences with cyber crimes. The results were startling, yet illuminating. Our survey revealed that every respondent had encountered some form of cyber crime, highlighting an urgent need for increased cybersecurity awareness and education, particularly for women.

In response to these findings, we took a proactive step by organizing a meetup with local female lifestyle influencers. At this event, we delivered a comprehensive presentation on preventive measures against cyber crimes and detailed the steps on how to report such incidents effectively. This initiative aimed to equip these influencers with crucial knowledge and tools, empowering them to educate their followers and extend the reach of crucial cybersecurity awareness to a broader audience.

Building on the success of our influencer meet, our firm was honored to be invited as chief guests for a panel discussion at Lovely Professional University (LPU). The focus of the event was on startups run by women in India, a topic that aligns closely with our commitment to empowering women in all professional fields, including cybersecurity.

After our successful ventures in co-curricular and panel events, we returned to our core mission of conducting educational meetups. Transitioning back to online platforms, our latest session focused on the powerful networking tool, Nmap. This meetup was not only larger in terms of audience size compared to previous ones but also included an in-depth group discussion that allowed for a more interactive and participatory.

After our successful online session on Nmap, we continued our series of online meetups with a focus on Metasploit, a powerful tool widely used in the cybersecurity field. Metasploit is an open-source project that provides public resources for vulnerability research and penetration testing. It is considered one of the most useful auditing tools due to its wide range of capabilities and the ease with which it can simulate real-world hacking scenarios to find security gaps.

Our sessions on Metasploit were again highly appreciated by our cybersecurity audience. These meetups not only provided theoretical knowledge but also hands-on experiences that enabled participants to understand the practical application of Metasploit in real-world scenarios.

Our next meetup on Burp Suite, an integrated platform for performing security testing of web applications. As one of the most popular tools used by security professionals and penetration testers, Burp Suite provides a suite of tools designed to streamline the process of identifying vulnerabilities and securing web applications.

Our session covered the ‘what’, ‘how’, and ‘why’ of Burp Suite, providing attendees with thorough knowledge of its capabilities and practical use cases. To further enhance our community’s understanding and preparedness, we concluded the meetup with a segment on the latest cybersecurity news. This addition aimed to keep our audience informed about recent cyber threats and developments, reinforcing the importance of ongoing cyber awareness alongside technical skills.

ust weeks ago, we wrapped up our monthly online meetups with an extensive session on Ethereum, a leading platform for building decentralized applications and smart contracts. As one of the most prominent blockchain platforms, Ethereum offers a robust ecosystem for developers and businesses to innovate and create decentralized solutions. With its support for smart contracts and a wide range of applications, Ethereum continues to drive advancements in blockchain technology and decentralized finance.

Our monthly meetups serve as a critical resource for aspiring ethical hackers, cybersecurity students, and anyone interested in safeguarding their digital presence. These sessions are delivered by internationally trained trainers who not only bring a wealth of expertise but also a commitment to authenticity and accuracy. We ensure that our audience receives the most current and relevant information, supported by 100% verifiable facts.

Our primary goal through these meetups is to foster widespread cyber awareness. As we navigate a world increasingly dominated by digital interactions, understanding and implementing cybersecurity best practices becomes our primary defense. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to protecting online data. Our meetups are designed to equip participants with the tools and understanding necessary to secure their digital environments effectively.

In this rapidly evolving cyber landscape, staying informed and proactive is crucial. We invite you to join our community, where learning is continuous and every session enhances your ability to defend against cyber threats. Together, we can build a safer digital future.

This closing section emphasizes the educational value of your meetups and your firm’s dedication to cyber awareness, reinforcing the notion that these efforts are more than just learning opportunities—they are essential to personal and professional digital security.
